The bowl,
reconsidered.

A weighted stoneware bowl I designed because I could never find one I'd actually want to leave out. Beautiful enough for the home, good enough for the cats I love.

No spam, just one quiet note when the first pieces are ready.

Why I started Lumure

It began with two cats and an empty corner.

I bought my home because I loved it, and I've spent years filling it with furniture and objects that fit the way I wanted to live. Everything had a reason to be there.

Then there were my two ragdolls, who I adore more than I can say. I wanted to give them the best of everything, including the small, daily ritual of being fed.

Every bowl I found felt like a compromise. Well, this is okay for a pet bowl.

That sentence bothered me. Searching for something both genuinely beautiful and genuinely well made turned out to be far harder than it should be. I kept settling, telling myself it was fine, tucking the bowl out of sight.

Eventually I stopped looking and started drawing. Lumure is the bowl I always wanted: heavy in the hand, quiet in the room, and good enough to leave out in the open. Made for the animals we love, and the homes we actually live in.
